THAT was a nice day
First, I got to sleep in and only got up around 8 or so. I don't remember the exact time... I can't believe Roo let me sleep past her getting up. Nothing much exciting happened this morning though... Gillian though was super-adorable. After Roo left to go work out, she came to our bedroom and said "Liam is still sleeping!" and he was.... She had let him sleep!!! She had never done that before.
So amazing.
But Liam went back to sleep around 10-11 or so. He was hardly up at all. And he slept 'till almost 5pm! Poor thing. And Ruth performed a miracle and got Gillian to nap too! Speaking of which, we thought that she was wetting her bed again because she get's too tired once she lays down for the night; she doesn't wake up to "the pressure". But she's been dry for 4 days straight!
Anyhow, as a reward, we went to the pool where we met up with Angie and her daughters. Liam was a little unsure about the water at first but had quite some fun splashing and being pulled through the water after a little while. The girls became quite enamored with... centipedes! Amber started it and her little sister and Gillian followed suit shortly thereafter. Gillian even overcame her bugphobia and held one!
The most hilarious moment was Amber aimlessly walking alongside the pool saying "No more cen'ipedes". And when we found her one in the water, she went "oooh, you poor thing are tired of the water? Don't worry, Amber is here now..." I almost burst out laughing right there...
Anyhow... the entire night until the kids' bedroom fell silent, there was no fight, no yelling, none of the usual bedtime war rituals that we usually engage in. It was amazing
To finish the night, Roo and I watched the Aviator. That was quite inspiring and humbling. For one because regardless of what anyone says, Leo can do a terrific job on screen. And also to imagine the life Mr. Hughes has lived! And here I just spent several hours archiving 3-4 year old files onto CDs and ZIP disks. I so insiginificant.
Kinda made me think that I've never really worked for anything. Well, at least I feel that way. Though I know a lot of things in our family required a lot of work Though there is still more to do.
Anyhow, imagine where we all could go from here if we lived our dreams as passionately as he did!? |

I say ... and you think ... ?
- Exhibit:: Museum... for some reason the Guggenheim in LA sticks out. Probably because the last time I was there was with Roo in 98.
- Evolution:: A street legal race car. Like a Carisma Evo 7 Black Diamond, or the venerable 190 E 2.3 16v Evo 2, or the numerous evolutions of the first M3s.
- Loser:: Confirmists who try to hide among the masses and are too chicken to stand up for what they believe. And yes, on some days that includes me too.
- Hypnotic:: Eyes... The kind that you can get lost in and never want to emerge again.
- Unlikely:: Success without work.
- Interrupt:: People talking, breaking thrains of thoughts...
- Ambivalent:: Relationships... bounding back and forth, appart and together, like rubber bands.
- Rise and fall:: ...of the humany psyche and attitudes; we're up, we're down. Most of us subject ourselves to this type of emotional rollercoaster.
- Indian:: "native American"... tipis... weakness to temptation...
- Prophecy:: A movie that had a quite intriguing story behind it. Though I will not care to ever see it again
